Drosera nidiformis is a carnivorous plant originating in South Africa. This drosera has a semi-erect bearing, with the youngest leaves that will be lifted from the substrate exposing the traps. Leaves, which in the terminal portion take on a shovel shape, are similar to those of its tempered cousin, the intermediate Drosera, but can reach larger dimensions. The best results in cultivating this plant are kept in a greenhouse or a terrarium, but it is well suited for cultivation under environmental conditions, provided it is protected from excessive cold in winter. Being a subtropical plant does not require winter rest and its seeds do not have dormancy.
The seeds I sell have been harvested on the indicated date, from the plant visible in the photo. This means that they have a very high germinability rate.
